Dr. Zelka Licina
Dr. Zelka Licina earned her dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry where she graduated in 2012. She continued her dental education by completing a General Practice Residency at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2013. During her residency she spent most of her time interning in Oral Surgry at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She was able to complete rotations in anesthesia and emergency medicine, as well as advance her surgical skills. She constantly participates in continued education courses in order to maintain a focus on modern and innovative dental skills, as well as digital technology. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Atlantic Coast District Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Licina is also and accredited member of the Canadian College of Dental Medicine and has completed the Canadian Dental Licensing Exam.
Originally from Belgrade, Serbia, Dr. Licina has lived in several parts of the world. She grew up in Toronto, Canada, and completed her pre-dental education at the McMaster University with a double major in Genetics and Psychology. After completing her dental education in New York City, she moved to Florida in 2013, for sandy beaches and warm sunshine. She has a husband (Almir) and two children (Adam and Lea) who are the stars of her universe. Aside from dentistry, she enjoys learning new languages, travelling the world and spending time with friends and family.
